Week 1: The future focussed classrooms of today

In the beginning there was digital technology!

Lesson 1 - Protocol Droid...
The beginning of my Digital journey as part of the Primary Graduate Diploma began today. Having coasted along on the growing digital revolution since my Primary School days I have managed to just keep myself in line with current digital trends.

This I fear is no longer enough in an ever expanding technology revolution of ideas and outlets.
The first session was a mix of the familiar and the new, plus an overwhelming fear of how much I have still to learn.
I have embraced the ‘bouncing balls’ as an engaging ‘noise management tool’ for my classroom but have yet to explore how I set up ‘Kahoot’. So much to assimilate and so little time to practice.

I conquered the first part of the assignment today as a way of bringing myself up to date with basic online etiquette and trends. This only frustrated me further as I prided myself on my knowledge and flawless selections of answers only to double click a box – thus deselecting an answer and leaving me minus a point to my score. “I hate technology” was my venomous snipe!
